Local Areas Receive Funding To Continue Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour And Support Parents

58 local areas will receive funding of £12.9m over the next 3 years in their effort to continue challenging anti-social behaviour and support young people Children’s and young people’s Minister Beverley Hughes announced on 22 November 2007.

In addition 77 local areas will receive £11.7m over the next 3 years to fund parenting practitioners. The majority of parents do a good job, but a minority fail to set any boundaries and allow their children to drift into anti-social behaviour. These professionals will provide support to families involved in or at risk of anti-social behaviour.
