Awards recognise Wakefield e-take-up campaign as best of public sector technology

Published: Wed, 23 Jan 2008 14:23:58

Cabinet Office minister Gillian Merron last night highlighted the vital role played by technology in making public services more efficient and accessible at an awards ceremony in London.

The awards recognise the best in technology-driven services that have positively transformed the lives of members of the public.

Winners ranged from Wakefield Metropolitan District Council's Local e-Take-up campaign, which ensures high and growing take-up of an e-enabled service through effective service delivery to the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency's MOT computerisation scheme.
