Muck In4Life Tour hits South Yorkshire today

Published: Wed, 05 Aug 2009 12:13:56

A conservation tourer van will make its first stop in South Yorkshire. It will be visiting the recently opened Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Branton, Doncaster, before heading to Graves Park Animal Farm, Sheffield on Thursday 6th August for two days.

Families in South Yorkshire are being urged to adopt a healthier lifestyle while doing something positive for the environment by joining a new campaign called Muck In4Life – and the Muck In4Life tourer van aims to bring this idea alive.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) Muck In4Life campaign has a simple message: families and individuals can get out of the house, have a great time and get healthy doing volunteer conservation work. Volunteers can also enter photos of their experiences and win high street vouchers, and have their photos displayed at world-famous Kew Gardens.
