Process for appointing a new YHRAF Chair (November 2006)
Process for appointing a new YHRAF Chair (November 2006)
As per email/letter to RAF members, 15th November 2006 : Following the announcement at our November RAF meeting that we are seeking a new Chair, I enclose a nomination form and a description of the Chair's role. If you wish to nominate someone (even yourself!), please note that we will need the completed nomination form back by 13th December2006. It would be appreciated if you would discuss any nomination proposal with nominees before submitting their nomination.
Following this date, the Rural Board has agreed that the selection process should comprise an interview of nominated candidates by a selection panel to be drawn up by the Government Office. Once nominations have been assessed, suitable candidates will be invited to attend a short interview with the selection panel. These interviews are likely to be held in mid to late January. It is intended that the new Chair will be in place for the next RAF meeting around March 2007.
Once the new Chair is in place, the next stage will be to form a new Steering Group to assist the Chair in bridging the gap to the enlarged Forum, and in managing its business. Registered RAF members will be invited to nominate members of the new Steering Group and the new Chair will make the final selection from those nominations. A Deputy Chair will be chosen from this Steering Group.
Finally, for those RAF members who have not yet registered by returning the member questionnaire as requested at the July meeting this is your opportunity; a copy is attached.
If you have any queries, please contact Anna Knight [0113 2836863] or me [0113 283 6862].
