This national strategy aims to ensure that employers have the right skills they need to ensure that their businesses are competitive and individuals have the skills they need to be employable and personally fulfilled.
Government Offices work with regional partners including Learning and Skills Councils and Regional Development Agencies to implement a range of Government policies including the National Skills Strategy.
GOYH works with a range of key regional partners including Learning and Skills Councils and Yorkshire Forward, our Regional Development Agency and JobCentre Plus. Together we are implementing a range of Government policies, including the National Skills Strategy and investing in the region’s priority business and skills areas, so as to improve the economic development of the region.
We have been supporting Yorkshire Forward in developing the region’s Regional Skills Partnership, which has been in operation since April 2004.
