More information on the national picture
The main areas for research and analytical support in Yorkshire & the Humber are:
1) Supporting Performance Management against Home Office Public Service Agreements (PSA) 1 and 4 (on crime reduction and drugs) in the region
For example, providing data and analysis to enable performance to be monitored and decisions to be made about where to offer additional support in the region.
2) Providing further research into and analysis of regional crime patterns and possible local solutions
This includes examining patterns of particular types of crime in the region to identify appropriate crime reduction activities.
3) Promoting effective use of analysis and evidence in Yorkshire & the Humber
For example developing and organising the regional researcher and analysts forum where good practice can be shared.
