The deadline for entries is 1st October. So, please ensure our chance to be a winner by making nominations!
Entry is free and is a simple, online process. See the link below to the e-Government National Awards website.
Winners will be announced to 500 guests at the black-tie Awards dinner on 20th January 2009 at the Guildhall in the City of London, by Tom Watson MP and Government CIO John Suffolk. Finalist nominations get a free seat at the dinner of course.
Tom Watson MP, Cabinet Office Minister with responsibility for Transformational Government says:
"Public services continue to be transformed by technology, improving delivery on the front line and making us more efficient behind the scenes. Unfortunately some people seem to take pleasure in knocking public sector projects that involve technology, which is why I'd encourage anyone with a success story to share it with the wider world by entering these awards. I know the nominations will all be of the highest standard, so I'm really looking forward to seeing all the winners in January."
Now in their 5th year, the annual e-Government National Awards recognise the 'best of the best' and are supported by the Government's Chief Information officer (Cabinet Office), the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) and the Society of IT Management (SOCITM). Platinum sponsor of the Awards is KPMG. Also sponsors are Directgov and Jadu.
