Services for Devon Families at the Touch of a Button

Published: Wed, 13 Feb 2008 15:13:30

A new online guide to organisations that provide services and support to families in Devon is now available.

The Devon Children and Young People's Service Directory is a useful online guide to organisations such as scout and guide groups, support groups for children and their families with special needs, and sports and community facilities, as well as offering health advice, information on careers and training and parenting support. It also provides information on out of school activities.

The directory contains information on local organisations and services, national organisations and helplines that provide services or advice, and things to do and places to go.

Information has been supplied by social care, health, education, the voluntary sector, charities, uniform groups and Devon's district councils for sport, arts and leisure.

The directory is aimed at people living in the area covered by Devon County Council. Organisations based outside this area that provide services to people living within the area, such as Torbay and Plymouth are included.
