Business Support Simplification Consultation - Government Response

Published: Fri, 21 Dec 2007 14:16:08

The Government’s formal response to the Business Support Simplification Programme (BSSP) consultation was published on 20 December.

BSSP is currently working with businesses and the government to streamline the existing amount of publicly funded business support schemes. It aims to reduce duplication and make it simpler to access support, so that businesses can find the help they need more easily. Business Links will be the primary service for individuals and organisations wanting to access business support.

Following public consultation, in the Pre-Budget Report the Government set out the framework for the new range of simplified schemes, which will be subject to continual review to ensure the needs of business are being met and value for money.

The full Goverment response to the consultation, which closed on 14 September, provides further details and can be accessed from the link below  or downloaded from this page.
