Appointements Bring Fresh Experience to the South West

Margaret Hodge, Minister of State for Industry and the Regions, has announced one new appointment to the Board of the South West of England Regional Development Agency. John Savage, CBE will take up his three-year appointment on 14 December 2006, representing the business sector.

The Minister also announced the reappointment of three existing members of the Board; Catherine Bakewell, MBE, Duncan Hames, and Christine Reid, OBE.  All will serve for a further three-year term, again commencing on 14 December 2006.  The original appointments were made following open competition in accordance with the requirements set down in the Commissioner for Public Appointments Code of Practice.
