The Tourism Talks Project

The Project was established in September 2005 to provide English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) training to develop the everyday English Language skills of employees from overseas.

Tourism Talks is a fully accredited language programme specially designed to develop the knowledge and language skills of overseas workers within Dorset's tourism industry.

Tourism Talks has already been adopted by numerous hotels and restaurants whose staff are attending classes at times that fit around their shift patterns, either at the place of work or nearby. The course content has been modified to reflect the vocabulary required for the workplace and knowledge of the local area.
