South East Regional Compact launched

Published: Mon, 06 Apr 2009 09:58:27

The South East Regional Compact was launched today, 6 April 2009.

The Regional Minister, Jonathan Shaw, stated

“I am really pleased to announce the launch of 'Our South East Regional Compact’, particularly relevant in these challenging times when we need to work together. It is a real demonstration of our strengths in partnership working in this region.”

The Compact is all about better partnership working and creating better outcomes for individuals and local communities.

Established in 1998, the Compact is an agreement between Government and the voluntary and community sector in England. It recognises shared values, principles and commitments and sets out guidelines for how both parties should work together. For more information visit the Commission for the Compact’s website.
