Use your Voice for positive change: free event for VCS in Slough on 23 March 2009

Use your VOICE for positive change! Improving Support for Campaigning and Advocacy in the South East, Monday 23rd March 2009, Baylis House, Slough, SL1 3PB

This free event is for anyone who:

  • works for a local or regional support organisation, such as a CVS, umbrella body or network
  • provides information, support, training, education and resources for community and voluntary groups
  • is involved in campaigning, advocacy, influencing, empowerment, equalities and active citizenship
  • is an active member of a community or voluntary organisation involved in campaigning
  • Free to community and voluntary sector, funded by Capacity Builders

Contributors include local and national campaigners,  Fiona McTaggart,  MP and  Eleanor Cryer, Mencap 

Workshops include:

  2. How your area works: influencing Local Government and LAAs
  3. Arts & agitation
  4. Diversity & Equality
  5. Using Media to campaign
  6. Campaigning with young people
  7. Citizens Advocates in health
  8. Using the internet for campaigning

This is part of a national programme coordinated by NCVO and organised by a regional steering group  including RAISE and Slough CVS
