The Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) have a vital strategic role in setting the economic direction of the regions. They are key partners in influencing and delivering Government economic policy. In the future they will work in partnership with the newly formed local authorities Leaders Board to design and implement new regional strategies which will unite the currently separate economic and spatial planning policies.
The Role:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership
- Build effective relationships and influence delivery partners across all sectors; and
- Determine the thrust of policy.
