These statutory requirements form part of the Hallmarks
of Effective Partnerships. The Hallmarks represent the key aspects of
partnership working that underpin effective delivery though
partnerships. The six Hallmarks of Effective Partnerships are:

The Hallmarks are detailed in guidance published by the
Home Office in October 2007
‘Delivering Safer
Communities: A guide to effective Partnership Working’. This
guidance includes many examples of good practice from partnerships in
the South East.
The Police and Crime Bill
The Police and Crime
Bill was introduced in December 2008 and contains a proposal for
Probation to become a responsible authority of a Crime and Disorder
Reduction Partnership (CDRP) and for reducing re-offending to be adderd
to their existing duties.
GOSE’s role
The Partnership Support Lead at the Government
Office for the South East leads on providing support and guidance
to CDRPs and County Strategy Groups within the South East on the
implementation of the Hallmarks of Effective Partnership Working.
