North West Regional Compact – Consultation period extended

Published: Tue, 03 Feb 2009 10:32:57

A draft version of the North West Regional Compact is currently out for consultation. The Compact is an agreement between North West public sector bodies and the third sector that aims to provide a framework for improved partnership and working relationships between the two sectors.

Organisations that have committed to the Compact include North West Regional Development Agency, Voluntary Sector North West, the National Offender Management Service, North West Network, 4NW, One North West, NHS North West, the Learning and Skills Council, Job Centre Plus and Social Enterprise North West.

The development of a Compact has been positively received and a number of third sector organisations have already taken the opportunity to comment. We would like to give more organisations, particularly public sector bodies, the opportunity to help shape the agreement and consequently we have now extended the deadline from 4th February until Friday 27th February.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the first regional compact for the North West. Government Office for the North West are happy to come out and speak at events to explain more about the Compact and how you can assist in its development.
