The North West region was awarded over £1.8 billion of Structural Funds in the 2000 – 2006 programming period. These Funds were administered by the Government Office for the North West in partnership with key strategic organisations in the region and have helped create new jobs and economic prosperity within the region.
The North West will continue to benefit from European Funding between 2007 and 2013 however this will not be administered by Government Office for the North West.
