Members of the group have been contributing to a North East
Breastfeeding Framework which is expected to be published before the end of
2009.
It is also anticipated that all regional NHS primary care and acute
trusts and universities will achieve UNICEF Baby Friendly Accreditation.
A formal bid has been prepared and submitted to the Regional
Improvement and Efficiency Partnership for £146,446 to support
implementation.
