It is mapping alcohol activity across the North East to identify best
practice and gaps and look at commissioning routes, treatment systems and
organisational structures.
A Big Drink Debate has been launched and a strategic board consisting of
senior representatives working in the alcohol field will be set up.
The group will also be working on key messages as well as reducing
alcohol-related hospital admissions and assaults involving injury.
