A Conference on Sustainable Change was recently organised by the Welsh Assembly Government with the objective to change public sector perceptions on their role in promoting sustainable development.
Peter Candler, Managing Director of Rivergreen Developments plc, was invited to join representatives from leading organisations such as OVE Arup and Sheppard Robson to give a presentation on the subject of sustainable development from a private developers perspective. Mr Candler spoke about the design themes used to develop the low impact Rivergreen Centre, a serviced office complex with conference facilities, which has a BREEAM rating of excellent.
Over 100 delegates from local authorities and public sector departments attended the Conference at the Technium OpTIC Centre, St Asaph Business Park, North Wales. Following Mr Candler’s presentation several delegates commented that "it was the highlight of the day for them, hearing a private developer so pragmatically explaining what he’s done and why".
