The London Health ObservatoryLondon Region Quality Assurance Reference Group [for cancer screening] and Thames Cancer Registry work within London to generate health intelligence to inform decision making for London.
Infrastructure
The RPHG-London ensures to ensure a strong health component in all regional developments with an influence on determinants of health. This work has included works on sustainability, the NHS as a Good Corporate Citizen and instituting a Healthy Urban Development Unit to assist London’s Health Community to respond to the challenges of the forecast population growth across the Capital.
People
The RPHG-London plays a key role in working with stakeholders such as the London Deanery and NHS in London to ensure suitable capacity and training of those who work in an area with an impact on the public’s health (e.g. from local authority housing workers to school nurses, etc.).
