Getting Started with Sustainable Food

A conference entitled 'Getting Started', designed to encourage public sector caterers to take the first step towards sustainable food procurement, will take place on the 10th of April in London. The event is a joint venture between the South East Food Group Partnership and Government Office for London (GOL) and will take place at GOL headquarters on Millbank, within easy reach of Victoria & Waterloo stations. The conference will showcase a simple 'Getting Started' guide recently published by SEFGP, and will break to life the 5 simple steps of the guide with stimulating speakers, workshops & interactive displays. Starting at 9.30am, the event will culminate in a tutored food & drink matching event, which showcases the best of south east produce, which is scheduled to take place at 3pm. Delegates will also enjoy a sustainably sourced lunch. The keynote speaker for the conference is John Turenne of Sustainable Food Systems.
