Published: Thu, 13 Dec 2007 00:00:00
Cuts to red tape are saving businesses in London an estimated £125 million a year. With nationwide savings estimated at £800 million. A new government report - Delivering Simplification Plans - outlines more than 250 government initiatives to tackle red tape delivered in the last year. Measures that will benefit the 675,000 businesses in London include halving the number of health and safety forms businesses have to fill in, speeding up the approval of planning consents and no longer requiring companies to hold an AGM or hire a company secretary.
