Transport, health and crime are the main issues for Londoners in the run up to mayoral elections, a poll suggests. Policies more than personality or party were the key factors in the choice of candidate, according to 1,000 people involved in the survey. Council tax, anti-terrorism and the environment also figured highly in the London Policy Institute`s (LPI) study. Respondents said the congestion charge and preparation for the 2012 Olympics were not significant issues.
