Accessibility to Railway Stations

Published: Fri, 10 Nov 2006 00:00:00
Accessibility is to improve at 11 more rail stations in London, including Finsbury Park, New Cross and Vauxhall, Rail Minister Tom Harris announced on 9 November. The stations have been included in the second round of DfT’s Access for All funding - a fund of over £370 million through to 2015. The investment will make access to and inside stations easier for disabled people. Funding is provided in addition to commitments made in franchises, the ongoing renewal of stations and major station improvement projects. Work will be carried out by Network Rail and completed between 2009-2011.
