Assisted Areas Map 2007- 2013

Published: Thu, 12 Oct 2006 01:00:00
On 10 October Minister for Industry and the Regions, Margaret Hodge, published the latest map of Assisted Areas with implications for five London boroughs. The map shows the zones where businesses can apply for regional aid for the next seven years. In London, Assisted Areas are proposed in wards within Barking & Dagenham, Bexley, Greenwich, Havering and Newham. The map, produced by DTI following a 12-week public consultation, will now be submitted to the European Commission for their approval. The Government also unveiled a series of measures to assist businesses in areas left off the map.
