A Tale of Two Cities

On 31 May the Mayor signed a Partnership Agreement with the Governor of Tokyo, Shintaro Ishihara, agreeing that the two cities will share experiences and best practice. The Agreements, between like cities, aim to establish a culture of learning from other cities’ policies, successes and failures. Tokyo and London share similar issues such as urban regeneration, transport system, environmental issues and tourism.
