Agreement on 2012 Development

The London Development Agency and London and Continental Railways Limited made a joint statement on 15 November to announce that all parties dealing with the land issues around Stratford City and the 2012 games have come to an agreement. A compulsory purchase order which will enable the LDA to secure the land in question will shortly be issued. It has also been agreed that the first phase of the Stratford city development, known as Zone 1, can proceed. This area will contain homes and shops and provide new employment.
