ALG Responds to LEGI

On 4 November the ALG published their response to the Government’s consultation on the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative. LEGI aims to increase enterprise, attract investment and support local businesses in deprived areas. The ALG’s response included suggesting the Local Authorities who currently receive NRF to be eligible to bid for LEGI funding and a Government decision on bidding eligibility to allow ample time for Local Authorities to prepare bids. The ALG would also like flexibility, evaluations and reviews to be included into the initiative as some projects may be funded for up to ten years.
