Moving to a low carbon London

Take up the challenge of Climate Change.

GOL will work with the Greater London Authority, the London Development Agency and London Councils to develop London’s role as a leading low carbon world city and low carbon economy.

Our measures of success are:

  • The effective presentation of London’s role as a leading low carbon city at the Copenhagen Climate change conference in December.
  • To secure increased funding from the Department of Energy and Climate Change to support initiatives that will make London a cleaner and greener environment in which to live and work.
  • To secure funds from the Business, Innovation and Skills Department for low carbon initiatives in London.
  • That every London Borough has support to make demonstrable progress towards their climate change targets.
  • That plans are in place and progress is made towards reducing the Government Office’s CO2 emissions by 5% by March 2011.
