London Compact Awards 2008

About the Awards

In addition to, and to complement the National Compact Awards, London’s Compact Working Group has launched its own London Compact Awards 2008. The Group is made up of: London Councils, Race on the Agenda, London Voluntary Service Council, Learning and Skills Council, Government Office for London, Partnership for Young London, Housing Corporation (London Region), Metropolitan Police Service and the Greater London Authority (Office of the Mayor of London, Metropolitan Police Authority, Transport for London, London Development Agency, London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority and London Health Commission). We have joined together to recognise and celebrate excellent partnership working in the Capital.

The awards will celebrate all forms of partnership in the capital that exemplify the Compact way of working. Partnerships do not need to be formal, but must be based in London and involve the third sector and at least one statutory partner.

Nomination categories for the London Compact Awards 2008 are:

London Compact Award for innovation and/or proactivity in Compact ways of working:
Demonstrating an innovative or proactive approach to developing and/or promoting and/or delivering the Compact.

London Compact Award for progress in developing Compact ways of working:
Demonstrating progress and distance travelled in developing a Compact way of working.

London Compact Award for embedding a Compact way of working:
Demonstrating that all partners have embedded Compact ways of working, with evidence of a consistent way of working in accordance with Compact principles.
