In order to assist organisations intending to apply to Objective 3 CFOs for funding during the 2004-6 programme period, we have prepared the following 'Road Map'.
Use the following directions to help you decide which CFOs to apply to. Please also note that GOL discourages multiple applications to different CFOs for the same project.
1) Decide into which Policy Field and Measure your project fits (see link below - London Objective 3: Summary of Policy Fields and Measures - under subheading: Further Information).
2) Will your project run in one borough, in a sub-region or across the whole of London? The Local Learning and Skills Councils and South London Connexions only support activity within their own areas, whereas the Jobcentre Plus, London Development Agency (LDA), Association of London Government (ALG) and LSC pan-London programmes all run throughout London.
3) Use the Objective 3 Regional Development Plan, including the 2004 Foreword to the Plan, for information on targeting funds at particular groups. Additional advice can be sought direct from the CFOs on the groups they plan to assist and the extent to which these groups are present in the geographical area(s) you plan to operate in.
4) Using the link below (Tendering Rounds), go to the website link of the relevant CFO and download a copy of their prospectus. In particular you will wish to check the dates when they are launching their tendering rounds and the closing dates for receipt of bids. You are strongly advised to attend any workshops that the CFO is running to help applicants prepare their applications within national ESF guidelines as well as any additional criteria set by the CFO. Dates of any CFO workshops/seminars and other relevant information can be clarified through contacting the CFO direct.
5) Remember, you MUST submit your application by the CFO’s deadline.
