What we do:
- Support the delivery of the 10 year Childcare Strategy in the context of Every Child Matters.
- Work with and monitor Local Authorities and their partners' progress towards improving outcomes for children under 5 and their families with a view to spreading any good practice across the region.
- Work with Children's Services Advisers and policy leads to develop appropriate intervention and change for children within local areas.
- Support Government Office negotiations with local partners in the development of Local Area Agreements, regarding early years and childhood priorities.
- Work with Children's Fund partnerships on the prevention agenda for children between the ages of 5-13.
- Manage and administer the Children's Fund and Local Network Fund programmes.
