Business Continuity – a Practical Approach 7th July 2005

Published: Thu, 04 Aug 2005 13:56:06

On the 7th July 2005 the East Midlands Regional Resilience Forum, in partnership with the East Midlands Branch of the Emergency Planning Society, arranged a seminar on business continuity management (BCM) for all organisations within the region. The event was kindly hosted by Derbyshire Constabulary at their headquarters in Ripley and attracted over 120 delegates from the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Despite the terrible events in London on that day which meant that many of the attendees from Category 1 and 2 organisations, as defined under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (CCA 2004,) had to leave early, the day still provided an opportunity for participants to learn and take forward their skills and, where appropriate, to help them meet their requirements on BCM as set out in the CCA 2004.

The event featured a number of speakers who are leaders in the field of BCM. The agenda and copies of the presentations given by all the speakers have been posted to this site for information.
