Budget 2009

Published: Wed, 22 Apr 2009 15:56:34

Budget 2009 sets out how the Government is working to achieve its long-term economic goal to secure and maintain economic stability, in order to achieve its objective of a fair society where there is security and opportunity for all.

Phil Hope, Regional Minister for the East Midlands, said:

"Today's budget has set out a programme of immediate action that will hugely benefit the East Midlands economy. I, along with my Regional Economic Cabinet, have worked hard to ensure that the concerns and issues of business and families in the East Midlands are fed back into national decision-making. I believe that today's budget will help to address these concerns and will be vital in delivering a stable and sustainable future for the East Midlands."

Budget 2009 was presented on 22 April 2009. More information can be found here.
