It covers adult offenders (those 18 years and over) in the East Midlands and supports the priorities set out in the National Commissioning and Partnerships Framework as well as NOMS overall aims of protecting the public, serving the courts and reducing re-offending. The Regional Commissioning Plan will be published at the end of November 2007, to inform negotiations with providers for delivery in 2008-9.
The purpose of this consultation document is to seek the views of the wide range of organisations which have a stake in our aims including providers, Judges and Magistrates, joint commissioners, local authorities, local partnerships, third sector organisations and offenders themselves. Comments on our proposed priorities are invited by MONDAY 5 NOVEMBER 2007. In addition we are holding a consultation event on Thursday 4 October 2007 at Pera Innovation Park, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
If you are interested in attending this, please contact Anne Carliss (contact details below).
A consultation feedback form is provided, together with a summary of our commissioning priorities. It would help us if you could use this form to respond to the specific questions we have raised within the main consultation document, but do feel free to send your responses in another format if you wish.
Responses to the consultation should be sent to:
