What are the Queen's Awards?
The Queen’s awards for voluntary service is given for outstanding achievement by groups of volunteers who:
- regularly devote their time to helping others in the community
- improve the quality of life and opportunity for others
- provide an outstanding service
Volunteer England administrates and publicises the Queen’s awards in the region. Government Office East Midlands (GOEM) convenes and chairs the Local Selection Panel and completes citations on the recommended groups.
