Published: Mon, 16 Apr 2007 17:20:35

The board of the Food Standards Agency (FSA) is coming to Nottingham on 17 May 2007. This is an opportunity to engage with food policy decision-making at a national level. Open meetings of the FSA board give the public an opportunity to see how they go about discussing the agency's policies and reviewing its work.

In May, the board are scheduled to discuss:

  • folic acid.
  • the merger of the Drinking Water Inspectorate with the FSA.
  • progress on developing the agency’s Consumer Engagement Model.
  • a report on the work of the newly created Regional Presence Unit.
  • the annual aeport from the FSA Chief Scientist.

You are invited to submit a question, by using the email link below, for the Q&A session about the issues being discussed or the wider work and policy of the FSA.

The board of the FSA holds meetings in public and publishes board meeting agendas, papers and decisions. The board meetings are also available to watch live on the web or download as a podcast. For more information or to register to attend the board meeting and receive the agenda and papers please use the link at the bottom of the page.
