The Government Office for the East Midlands Corporate Plan

Published: Thu, 15 May 2008 08:38:47

Phil Hope MP, Regional Minister for the East Midlands has launched the Government Office for the East Midlands Corporate Plan.

"I am delighted to share with you the three year Corporate Plan for the Government Office Network and the Government Office for the East Midlands which sets out GOEM’s ambition for the Region.

"The plan sets out our priorities for the region, and my focus on:

  • growth in jobs and the economy
  • increasing skills and economic participation
  • promoting inclusion and cohesion
  • maximising the opportunities for growth
  • regeneration, and creating new homes; and ensuring public services are user focussed and delivered by the best providers, whether public, private or third sector.

"I will be playing my part by providing leadership alongside senior regional partners, and by acting as a link between central Government and the East Midlands. I will be an effective voice for the region at the heart of Government whilst also acting in the region on behalf of Government.
I will be closely supported by Government Office for the East Midlands, and this Plan shows how we will work together to make our region vibrant, innovative and, above all else, successful.

"I do hope you find the Plan useful and please contact Government Office for the East Midlands on 0115 9712759 or enquiries@goem.gsi.gov.uk should you have any questions or comments on the Plan."
