ERDF in the East Midlands is available under three categories (or Priorities), each one is subdivided into Measures. The three Priorities for ERDF are:
- Priority 1 – Enterprise and Innovation
- Priority 2 – Climate for Investment – Strategic Development Opportunities
- Priority 3 – Sustainable Communities
The Single Programming Document (SPD) and the programme Complement details the objectives and type of activities within each Priority. These are the key documents for the delivery of the Objective 2 Programme in the East Midlands. Both can be found in the related documents section below.
Who Can Apply?
ERDF is aimed at economic regeneration projects promoted mainly by the public sector. This includes:
- government departments
- regional development agencies (RDAs)
- local authorities (LAs)
- higher and further education institutions
- other public bodies
- voluntary sector organisations
ERDF is not normally awarded to profit-making private sector companies. However, in certain circumstances the fund can help develop small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
