Secretary of State’s Proposed Changes to
the Draft Revision to the Regional Spatial Strategy
for the East of England and Statement of Reasons
A public consultation was held from 19 December to 9 March 2007 on the Government’s Proposed Changes to the Draft East of England Plan which was issued by the Regional Assembly in December 2004. This consultation stage followed earlier consultation on the Draft Plan and Examination in Public (EIP) to test its soundness. The Proposed Changes Consultation Document below sets out the Government’s response to each of the recommendations of the independent Panel which held the EIP and provides the full text of the proposed final version of the Plan.
You can view and download the Proposed Changes Consultation Document, and related documents using the links below.
Consultees may wish to visit the East of England Regional Assembly’s web site (see link below). The Assembly will be consulting on their draft RSS Implementation Plan.
The ‘Proposed Changes Companion Document’ did not form part of the formal consultation documentation but is provided for downloading by any consultees who may find it helpful. It provides the text of the Proposed Changes version of the Plan exactly as in the main column of Part 2 of the Proposed Changes Consultation Document. However, this is set out in non-tabular A4 portrait format and with figures inserted where they will appear in the final version.
The following technical studies (links below) have informed the Proposed Changes:
-
