Fact Files
Introduction
GO Network Centre and Services (NCS) and the Government Offices (GOs) work with the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to produce a series of unique briefing documents for the Strategic Communications Unit at Number 10. These Fact Files provide ministers with key statistics, which summarise Government delivery at the local level including 'soft' intelligence on local projects and initiatives in England's principal towns and cities.
The Fact Files contain maps and council information in addition to local and national statistical information from ONS and local intelligence on children and learners, health and well being, crime, transport, social inclusion and regeneration and European funding provided by each GO.
There are currently 38 City Fact Files and nine Regional Fact Files available, each contains key information:
- about the 'place'
- ONS statistics
- council compositon; and
- council tax bands *and regional information provided by each GO.
You can go direct to the click on the appropriate region to find a fact file in your area using the links below. You can also view a complete list of all the fact files here.
