The European Funding 2000 - 2006 is in the process of being closed. It is important to note that the project activity funded by the current 2000-06 programmes will continue until 2008. Further information on these programmes and their closure can be found by following the links to the left of the page.

200-2006 Programme: East Midlands ERDF Update - N+2

I am pleased to report that, subject to final confirmation by the European Commission, the East Midlands has been successful in meeting its annual ‘N+2’ spending target and so avoided money being lost to the region through decommitment.  The European Secretariat at the Government Office submitted its final declaration to Brussels on the 21 December 2007.

The region’s final position was as follows –

Target -                                                          €310,910 (£211.706million)

Payments made (inc programme advance) - €311,430 (£212.085million)

I am very grateful to partnerships and projects for their excellent cooperation and efforts in maximising expenditure in the final quarter and submitting claims promptly when requested.

2000 -2006 Programme: Advice on keeping records from the old ADAPT programme.
The final payment for the ADAPT programme was claimed by the UK Government on 31/03/06.  This means that the documentation for all ADAPT projects must be retained for 3 more years i.e. until 31/03/09.
